Erik Weed relocated from Virginia in 2018 and spent six years in Los Angeles exploring numerous roles within the film industry, including editing and gaffing. Although his crew positions frequently shifted, his creative partnership with longtime friend Maxwell Morro kept them dedicated to their shared goal of producing a feature film. Working within a tightly controlled budget, the first-time feature team embraced the flexibility offered by filming throughout rural Kentucky. Erik’s experience in small Virginia communities also helped shape the story’s everyday characters and authentic regional dialogue.
